Gayatri keeps Pullela on Badminton Track

Pullela Gopichand’s badminton talent seems to pass on to the baby, Gayatri. The 12-year-old, has just managed to ensure themselves to perform in the semifinals Blibli.com Badminton Asia Junior U17 & U15 Championships 2015. Down in the U15 women's doubles, paired with Vaishnavi Gayatri Reddy Jakka successfully stop, Denisa Dwisyawiliah Budiani / Nakhla Aufa Dhiya Ulhaq.

In the quarter-finals to be held on Friday (9/10), Gayatri / Vaishnavi successful win in the play three games 15-21, 21-18 and 21-19. As well as opening the way to the semifinals.

Gayatri, who was born in Hyderabad, March 4, 2003, became the youngest badminton players from the ranks of Indian athletes who were competed at GOR Djarum Kudus. It became her first international badminton tournament and appearance.

"I started practicing badminton age of 6. I play badminton because of my father. My father was the first to teach badminton to me, and I want to be like him," she said.

Gopichand's first daughter was admitted to admire Chen Long. She said that she liked the way the Chinese players playing. "He played very aggressively, I like the style of play," she added.

In her hometown, Gayarti has become one of the most respected players. Last year she won the national tournament in the age group under 13 years. She also trained at the academy belonging to her father, Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad. Although she was the daughter of the owner of the academy, there is no special treatment for her. She practiced the same as other young athletes.

"I want to continue to excel at badminton," she concluded.

Gayatri finished at the third place in Blibli.com Badminton Asia U17 & U16 Championships 2015.
